STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics), she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food.

While she appeared a bit shaken up, Maria went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Maria's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Maria passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Maria would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

One must have the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a
stroke by asking three simple questions:
S
**Ask the individual to SMILE.*
T
**Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(I.e. It is sunny out today.)*
R
* *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS..*

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number
immediately *and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

NOTE:
Another 'sign' of a stroke is: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

Shine your shoes: Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth.......
Shine your face: Mix banana with honey and a bit of lemon juice, make paste, apply on your face (beware of skin allergy- so make a test doze first), keep for half an hour every day before sun-rise and wash out... and Your face will shine like fresh banana....
Amazing fruit, really the banana, bringing consolation to the whole humanity........and rather cheap.....So get going... Wishing you sound health...

Remain Blessed Today.....

Veronica Peris sent this one to me, because she believes this to be an awesome prayer... to an extent, I tend to agree with her!
She wants the reader to read this one with sincere Faith - and just "Pray The Prayer!"

Believe it and you shall be blessed.

The problem with many of us is that we don't believe that God will open a window and pour out blessings that we won't have enough room to receive them. I dare anyone to try God. He is true to His Word. God cannot lie and His promises are sure.

Three things will happen to you this coming week:
(1) You will find favor with someone you don't expect;
(2) You will be too relevant to be ignored;
(3) You will encounter God and you will never remain the same.

She shared with me her prayer for me today:
The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hands that will send this message to others shall not labor in vain, the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall laugh forever. Remain in God's love as you send this prayer to everybody on your list. Have a lovely journey of life! Trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will never fail you because He is AWESOME!

Heavenly Father, most Gracious, and Loving God, I pray to you that you abundantly bless my family and me. I know that you recognize, that a family is more than just a mother, father, sister, brother, husband and wife, but all who believe and trust in You. Father, I send up a prayer request for blessings for not only the person who sent this to me, but for me and all that I have forwarded this message on to. And that the power of joined prayer by those who believe and trust in You is more powerful than anything. I thank You in advance for Your blessings.

Father God, deliver the person reading this right now from debt and debt's burdens. Release Your Godly wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that You have given me Father, for I know how wonderful and mighty You are and how if we just obey You and walk in Your Word and have the faith of a mustard seed that You will pour out blessings. I thank You now Lord for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come because I know You are not done with me yet. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

I do not like chain mails - however great the promised blessings the mesage states. The mail Veronica sent me asks me to take not more than 60 seconds after reading the prayer to send the message on quickly to all the people whom I want GOD to bless today, so that within hours, I would have caused a multitude of people to pray to God for each other. I do not want to invade people's 'inboxes', theirprivacy, or time..... instead I post the message Veronica's message on my Blog hoping God will enlighten the minds of those who He wants to Bless today to access the blog and say the Prayer to Him....

That way I will feel comfortable to then sit back and watch the power of God work in people's lives... by doing the thing that maybe He loves.

Fruity Facts

EATING FRUITS.......

Years ago, when still in my teens, some pearls of wisdom on eating fruits were cast my way...
That fruit is like gold in the morning, silver at noon, and lead at night!!!!!!!!!!
So one was supposed to eat fruit in plenty in the morning, go moderate in the afternoon and avoid fruit in the evening and at night!

Over the years many have passed on to me more facts about eating fruit - again it is the best food there is, depending the time you eat it.... so what follows may be a bit long but it's very informative

Maybe we all think eating fruits means just buying fruit, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way to eat fruit?

Those who claim to be knowledgeable on this, maintain it means not eating fruit after meals! That fruit should be eaten on an empty stomach!

Fruit eaten on an empty stomach plays a major role detoxifying your system, and supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT INDEED IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.
When you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit, the fruit that is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, is prevented from doing so..
The whole meal that preceeded the fruit rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

So it is advisable to eat your fruit on an empty stomach or before your meals!
People are often heard complaining - "every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet etc" - actually all this would not happen if the fruit was eaten on an empty stomach. The reason for the discomfort is that the fruit mixes with the putrefying other food that had preceeded it - which produces gas and hence the bloated feeling!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes - are all results attributed to incorrect eating of fruit. These adverse effects would not occur if fruits were taken on an empty stomach.

It is a fallacy that only some fruit like orange and lemon are acidic, since all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who is supposed to have researched on this matter. According to the resultant theory evolved, if the correct way of eating fruits is mastered, you have in your pocket the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get perhaps the taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day only fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

Nutrients some fruit offer you:
KIWI: Tiny but mighty. Good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene - the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal is a sure ticket to getting Cancer! One may not believe this, but much as one may love to sip a cup of cold drink after a meal, the cold water in the drink helps solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It slows down digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and get absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Soon, turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup, warm water or even a warm beer after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE':
Women especially should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack . Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive...
